in the first three months of 2002
i digitised my collection of mastertapes of
all my music from the last 15 years or so
from 29 dat tapes onto 12 CDs

though at first i regarded the www
as an electronic billboard
later i began to see it
as a medium in itself

I began to make reductions
of each of my pieces
that i put on the web

attempting to distill each piece
to an abstract of about 60 seconds
whilst retaining the spirit of the piece

My Works Life
is a catalogue of my compositions which
ultimately will contain my entire musical life

i have sacrificed
fidelity for speed due to the bandwidth situation
sorry hi fi lovers
upgrades to follow in good time
